A composer and sound artist, Christophe Guiraud is dedicated to the realms of contemporary music and sound art. His primary goal is to delve into the crossroads of electronic, generative, and written music.
Christophe draws inspiration from two distinct influences,
Ars Subtilior from the 14th century and Noise,
akin to two intertwining rivers that manifest in his
powerful compositions.
With several years of collaboration, he actively engages
with numerous European ensembles and musicians, including
Ensemble 21, Sturm und Klang, Ensemble La Grive,
Ensemble Ictus, Ensemble Tarentule, PHØNIX16 collective, Laps Ensemble, Game Ensemble, Compagnie Hamadryade,
Nemø Ensemble, Apsara Ensemble, STOOM, Erämaa Trio,
Julien Boutonnier, Benjamin Glorieux, David Ryan, Tom Pauwels,
André-Marc Delcourt, George Van Dam, Arçon de Nièze,
among others.
His works have been featured at the Ars Musica festival in Brussels and released on various music labels.
